(Inside: Check out these Ridiculously Simple Mini Mummy Legs! They’re served with super creepy zombie fingers for the perfect Halloween dinner!)
I LOVE Halloween, and I am always trying to find new ways to make delicious Halloween food.
It is by far my favorite holiday, and a lot of that is because I can make such fun food creations!
The whole month of October my kids have a blast dreaming up super spooky food ideas as a challenge to see if I can make something delicious and festive.
I don’t mean to toot my own horn (toot-toot) but I think I do a pretty bang-up job!
The newest challenge? Mummies. But not just any mummies. They wanted chicken mummies.
Thankfully, I was already headed out to the store to get something quick and delicious for dinner, and these Cooked Perfect® Fire Grilled Chicken Drumsticks gave me the perfect idea…
Mini Mummy Legs–Ridiculously Simple
These mini mummy legs are totally adorable and fun, but they’re also wicked simple to make thanks to Cooked Perfect® Fire Grilled Chicken. The chicken is grilled over an open fire to lock in natural juices, and they come in tons of flavors so they’re a perfect way to spice up weeknight dinners!
When we made these mini mummy legs all I had to do was take crescent rolls, and cut them into thin strips.
Then I wrapped them a little bit around each chicken drumstick.
(We got Wildflower Honey BBQ Drumsticks, they were delish!)
We baked them according to package directions, and viola!
Simple Mini Mummy Legs.
Oh but that’s not all. See, there’s no way that I could make a truly spooktacular Halloween-y meal without something zombies.
I mean, zombies are my life.
So as I walked through the grocery store I brainstormed…
Zombie Fingers!
This is maybe the simplest Halloween food I’ve ever created. It was perfect for the busy night we had planned.
So to make these zombie fingers, you literally just add some green food coloring to cream cheese.
Spread that into celery sticks (yum!) and then add a black olive on one end to make the “nail”.
Ridiculously simple. That’s my style!
In honor of my favorite holiday, Halloween, you should consider a move to the “dark side” with Cooked Perfect’s flavorful dark-meat chicken options! These drumsticks were amazing, and they’re easier to eat. Plus, they made these awesome mummy legs possible! You can Find Fire Grilled Chicken in the freezer aisle. The chicken comes fully cooked and ready to heat in the oven for the perfect meal on busy nights!
Don’t forget to pin this super fun Halloween dinner for later!
