No-Churn Ice Cream (Cookies and Cream)

Thank you for sharing!

Ice cream is always the best dessert for the summer. And one of my favorites is the easy, homemade, and no-churn ice cream. And it’s not just ordinary ice cream. It’s the delicious cookies and cream!

No-Churn Ice Cream

Ice creams are usually made using an ice cream machine or ice cream churn. Although it is amazing to have one so that you can create your favorite ice cream at home, but they can be quite bulky for a regular kitchen. Thus, most people will just buy their ice creams from grocery stores.

Do you know that making homemade ice cream without churn is very simple? With only 4 ingredients, you can easily make the no-churn ice cream. How about the cookies and cream ice cream? That’s so easy!

Not only that. This no-churn ice cream recipe is so basic that you can make more ice cream flavors other than cookies and cream.

No-Churn Cookies and Cream Ice Cream

What do we need to make the No-Churn Ice Cream?

All-Purpose Cream – the cream of the crop. You’ll get a really creamy ice cream when this is whipped well enough. We need 2 cups here.

Condensed Milk – Will give the right sweetness, and at the same time, it will add creaminess to your homemade no-churn ice cream. We need a can of 14 ounces.

Vanilla Extract – will add some flavor and sweet aroma to your ice cream. About a teaspoon here.

Oreo Cookies – This is going to be the add-in for your cookies and cream ice cream. So delicious! Crush them finely or roughly, in small or big bits. We’ll need about 15-20 cookies, or maybe more if you like.

Creating other flavors

The possibilities to create more flavors are endless.  You can also use other extracts instead of vanilla.

You may add in or swap with some of these below, instead of the oreo cookies.

  • Swirl in some peanut butter or Nutella
  • Chocolate chips, M&Ms, or marshmallows.
  • Fresh fruits like strawberries, and other berries, cherries, bananas, or pineapple chunks. Better if they are frozen first
  • Nuts, peanuts, cookies, crackers, brownies, or cheddar cheese
  • Mint, shredded coconut, matcha, dried lavender flowers, or lemon zest.

Those are just examples. As I said, the possibilities are endless.

An important thing to remember is to chill the bowl that you will use to mix the ingredients and the pan where you will place the ice cream. With these, you will take about 10 minutes to make it and about 5 hours to chill…

Here is what you should do to make this no-churn ice cream

Whisk together the condensed cream and vanilla in a large bowl. Set aside.

Whip the all-purpose cream with a mixer on medium-high speed until firm peaks form, about 3 minutes.

Fold about 1 cup of the whipped cream into the condensed milk mixture with a rubber spatula until combined, then fold the lightened mixture into the whipped cream until well blended.

Pour into a chilled metal pan, cover, and freeze, until thick and creamy, like soft-serve, about 2 hours.

Bring the ice cream out from the freezer and remove the cover.

Swirl in crush Oreo Cookies into the soft ice cream with a spoon until well incorporated. You may top the no-churn ice cream with some crushed Oreo Cookies. Cover and continue to freeze until solid and scoopable, about 3 hours more, or overnight.
