This easy DIY Unicorn Mason Jars
You don’t need to be a skillful crafter. This is surely an easy peasy craft that will turn out perfect, regardless of your skill level.
All you need are some large mason jars, 2 to 3 of them. If you have them in your cupboard then that would be great. But you can easily buy them in most supermarkets really cheap too.
Then, a jar of Mod Podge. Any variety will do, though I chose the glossy finishing one.
Then, some Paper Napkins with the Unicorn designs. I put the link below where I found some. They’re not exactly like the one’s that I used, but will work. And a white acrylic paint to cover the jar.
You will also be needing a paintbrush, of course.
Materials and Supplies to Make Unicorn Mason Jars
- 2-3 Large Mason Jars (pint size)
- Mod Podge
- 2-3 Unicorn Paper Napkins
- White acrylic paint
To begin with, clean the mason jars and dry them completely. Just to make sure they’re dry, you might want to leave them on the cabinet for an hour or so.
Paint the mason jars with the white paint and allow to dry completely. there’s no need to paint it perfectly or evenly. You can just paint the surface once or twice, or make a criss-cross kind of stroke.
Then coat the mason jar with Mod Podge and immediately place the napkin over it, taking care to limit the amount of air bubbles or wrinkles in the napkin surface
Then, immediately brush the surface of the napkin with a thin coat of Mod Podge.
And last, allow this coat of Mod Podge to dry completely.
That’s it!
