First, let me apologize. I know this play dough is not the color of every persons’ flesh. And I know that it would be super-rude of me to indicate that it is. But I really just can’t think of a better way to title this–should I have said “very pale caucasian people-like flesh tone play dough”? No, that’s just not reasonable. “Easy Homemade Flesh-Colored Play Dough” is pretty much the best I can come up with. I’m super-sorry if I’ve somehow offended you or anyone else. I don’t mean to. I’m just not very creative with titles today.
There’s just never enough things to make stuff out of. Wait–what did I just say. Lemme rephrase. I think I’m maybe always coming up with new ideas that force me to come up with other stuff because what you can buy on the shelf is not exactly what I wanted anyway. Plus, I want it now, so waiting until I can get to the store is just not happening. There. That’s what I really meant. For example, I wanted a fleshy-colored play dough to have in my Build-Your-Own-Turkey Invitation to Play. You know, so that the turkey could be all fleshy, and then you add feathers…made sense at the time. Anyway, I desperately (DESPERATELY) needed this play dough. And there wasn’t any in the house, so I’d obviously have to make it. Five minutes later, I had a big batch of Easy Homemade Flesh-Colored Play Dough. It’s taste-safe and kind of yummy smelling (a little like Tang), but the most important part: Its very fleshy-colored. Heh.

I’m totally thinking I could do a great Build Your Own Pilgrim with this play dough, or even a nekkid chicken (not sure, but that might be fun). But some other random ideas I’ve had for using this dough while writing this:
- Apple Slices
- Noodles
- Noses
The ideas are endless. And kind of ridiculous. Which is totally awesome.
