Many say berries make smoothies so luscious, that’s why Cherry Banana Smoothie is so delectable. Well, to those who don’t know yet, a cherry is not a berry. You may say: but they are small, round fleshy with seeds. So, what are they?
Cherries are drupes. Drupe is a category of fruit that is simple and fleshy with only one seed surrounded by a hard shell, also called ‘stone” and the seeds can’t be eaten.
While berries are also simple, fleshy fruits, they have one or more seeds with pulps surrounding them, and they can be eaten entirely.

Making the Cherry Banana Smoothie.
Like I said earlier, this Cherry Banana Smoothie, just like any other smoothies, is very easy to make. I let my kids help me with making this, you know. They liked the smoothies very much.
As long as the ingredients are there already, it will only take a minute to have this wonderful and refreshing breakfast or snack or whatever.

For the ingredients, you’ll need:
- 1 cup cherries, preferably frozen
- 1 banana, preferably frozen
- 1 cup almond milk, or more as needed
- 1/2 cup yogurt of choice <– we used coconut yogurt but regular would work
- 1 Tablespoon chia seeds, optional
To make the Cherry Banana Smoothie, here are the directions:
Add all of the ingredients into a smoothie-style blender.
Puree until cherries are broken down and mixture is smooth.
Pour into your serving glass and serve with a straw.

Ingredients
- 1 cup cherries, preferably frozen
- 1 banana, preferably frozen
- 1 cup almond milk, or more as needed

Instructions
