- 1 cup whipped soap base
- 2 tablespoons liquid vegetable glycerin
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 pound of clear melt and pour soap base
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of Shea butter
- 10-20 drops of rose essential oil
- 10-20 drops of helichrysum essential oil
- 1 teaspoon Argan oil
- 1/2 tablespoon sparkle white mica powder
- 2-3 drops each of pink, yellow and teal soap colorant
- 2 8-ounce wide mouth Mason Jars
- Unicorn sprinkles
- 1 large mixing bowl
- 3 small mixing bowls
This recipe makes approximately 16 ounces of whipped soap
Instructions:
To start with, add 8-10 cubes (each cube equals a little less than 1 ounce) of the clear soap base in a large microwave container. Heat in 30 second bursts until soap is completely melted.
Repeat the steps above for the Shea butter.
Mix in essential oils, Argan oil and glycerin.
Next, fold in half of the cornstarch and add the whipped soap base. Mix on low with a hand or stand mixer for 1 minute. Mix on high until mixture begins to thicken and is light and fluffy, much like frosting.
Add in the mica powder and beat for 1 more minute. If the mixture is not beginning to form stiff peaks like a meringue, add more cornstarch, 1 teaspoon at a time until it does.
Divide whipped soap into 3 small mixing bowls and add pink color to one bowl, yellow to another and teal to the last bowl. Start with 1-2 drops of color and mix it in. If you want a darker color, add 1-2 more drops and repeat until you get the color you want.
Add one of each color frosting to each of the 3 piping bags. Hold bags together so all sides of the tips meet. Add frosting tip and the coupler.
Step 15: Holding all three bags tightly in your dominant hand and pipe the frosting into your Mason Jar. Top with sprinkles if desired.
