I am already over Easter this year. Just one day of toddlers screaming about “the bunny is coming” has made me regret telling them. So, I made some Peeps Vodka – Mommy’s Easter Treat. You can thank me on April 1st.
It’s like my two mini-me’s think it’s Christmas or something.
I have tried to disabuse them of this notion.
But for some reason, the little eggs that were in their toy box from last year’s Easter events have found their way into the floor.
It’s time, my friends.
It’s time for some Peeps Vodka. Let’s do this.
I have, I think, consumed the better part of the peeps they were gifted by the grandparent-of-sugar-overload that delivered them.
The tiny monsters fed them to me.
Or left little half-eaten, lonely little peeps, laying around on the table and counter (too high for the dog to get) for me to “clean-up” (read: with my mouth).
I have probably hit my quota of peeps for the year.
But I love them, and also, I love Peeps Vodka.
Mostly because there was a whole ‘nother package.
See, gifts at our house come in sets of 2.
Because tiny monsters can’t possibly share.
Sigh.
And the peeps cannot go to waste.
No, I shall make plenty of Peeps Vodka until all the sad little chicks are gone and I no longer have to look at them and wonder “will you end up in my bellie or on the bottom of my shoe?”
See? Not arguing that I should have another. Just saving myself a shoe-cleaning. Heh.
