Hey all! I have something cute here that I’m sure everyone will love. They’re sweet, fun to make, they can be a topper to some cakes or you can just eat it! I call them Mermaid Tail Suckers!
While others call them Mermaid Tail Lollipops or Mermaid lollipops, These Mermaid Tail Suckers can be the best treats you can share especially to kids. They can be great for parties, too, such as the Mermaid-themed party. Or have your kids run and play around the park and when it’s time to snack, give them these as their treats after they’ve eaten their Mermaid Toast.
Are they really easy to make?
Of course, they are! For one thing, there is only one ingredient. Jolly Ranchers! Who doesn’t love Jolly Ranchers? And it’s going to be more fun when you turn them into Mermaid Tail. The recipe is just down below.
But first, you’ll need to have these Silicone Mermaid Tail Mold. They’re easy to find online for $5 or less. Mine has 16 cavities in it. You can use this mold on chocolates, to make ice, and to freeze juice.
And since you’re making lollipops you are also going to need sucker sticks or lollipop sticks. You know where to find them.
Here are what’s needed
- Silicone Mermaid Tail Mold (paid links)
- Jolly Ranchers (Assorted Flavors)
- Lollipop Sticks
- Parchment Paper
To make these Mermaid Tail Suckers
- Preheat oven to 275 degrees.
- Cut or break jolly ranchers in pieces. They cut pretty easy with scissors, but you could also place each color in baggies and hit with a rolling pin to break up as well.
- Fill each mold with pieces of the candy, make sure to fill the entire mold.
- Place on a sheet pan and place in the oven for 5-6 minutes or until all pieces are melted.
5. Take out and place lollipop sticks on each tail. Since the sticks will be touching, place a strip of parchment paper over each row of sucker sticks. Let Cool
6. Once cooled, pop out each lollipop from the mold and Enjoy!!
