They can be customized depending on one’s mood, or what you want to celebrate, or your favorite theme. Like my favorite: Harry Potter! Well… I have a mood for making something Harry Potter-ish. And because I am in my best mood, I decided to make these hot cocoa shots.
Just look at these fun Harry Potter Hot Cocoa Shots – they’re so pretty you’d never believe they were homemade. And they’re perfect for a Harry Potter Charcuterie board where you can have Chocolate Frogs, or Harry Potter Wands too with butterbeer and oh, so many great ideas!
How to Make the Harry Potter Hot Cocoa Shots?
Making these Harry Potter Hot Cocoa Shots is very easy. Unlike most hot cocoa bombs, you are not going to make 2 parts and then put them together to make the “bomb.” All you need is to make those “shot glasses” and then fill them up. That’s it! Yep! Less time and maybe even more fun because you’ll be enjoying your shots sooner.
I have the ingredients listed below with links for where you can get the kind of specialty things. So, put on your witch or wizard hart and let’s get making! Lol!

Place the black chocolate candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl then melt in the microwave per the candy melt directions. Separate about half a cup and put it in a small piping bag. To be used later.
Carefully fill the molds with melted chocolate candy melts.
Place the filled molds into your freezer for about 5 minutes. Then, carefully peel the silicone away to bring out the chocolate ‘shot glass.’.
Place about 2 tablespoons of hot chocolate powder mix into each chocolate ‘shot glass’.
Then add a few pieces of the mini marshmallows filling the ‘shot glass’ to the top.
Pipe out some melted chocolate candy melts over the marshmallows and moving sideways to make continuous back and forth thin lines Allow some lines to spill on the side. It’s a decorative thing.
Dust with some sanding sugar over the marshmallows. Then do the same with the mixed sprinkles.
Pipe out some melted chocolate candy melts at the top where you want to attach the owl. Finally, add the owl.
Place in the freezer for another 5 minutes to set.
To serve:
Place one in a mug and pour hot milk over the top. Stir until the hot cocoa shot is completely dissolved!
To store:
Place them in an air-tight container and store them in a cool dry place.
