Lately, things have been getting hectic around here–especially in the evenings.
It’s like every activity ever has decided to dump itself on our weeknights. Even doctor visits are somehow happening right when I need to be cooking dinner.
And I was feeling desperate for a quick, easy recipe I could get done in this harsh time of rushed evenings.
Then, I remembered this awesome recipe my mom and I came up with when I was a teenager for those crazy hectic weeknights when we all were getting home so late: Buttered Steak paired with BUSH’S® Savory Beans.
Seriously, I kid you not, this meal is so fast, you couldn’t get takeout delivered in the time it takes to open the fridge, cook, and be finished rinsing the dishes.
That. Fast.
And so hearty.
My mom and I started making Buttered Steak and BUSH’S Savory Southwest Style Pinto Beans since I hit high school and started drama practice.
The steak sounds like its hard, but it’s not–and you just heat and eat the BUSH’S Savory Southwest Style Pinto Beans. Honestly, the beans are so easy and so delicious, you can pair them with basically anything for an awesome side, but the sauce they’re simmered in makes a great dipping sauce for the steak…sooo….it was kind of a natural pairing.
But I haven’t made this recipe in so long…it was kind of crazy. It’s like the sometimes, when you move from home and you almost forget what your mom made–even if it was your favorite.
Once I got it cooking, though, MAN was I excited to have one of my favorites on my plate again.
If you’re ready to get this on your plate, be sure to grab yourself some BUSH’S Savory Southwest Style Pinto Beans at Walmart, then pin this recipe for Buttered Steak so you can make your own quick and easy dinner this week!
