(Inside: My shortest kiddo likes to use the potty, but our new house has insanely tall toilets. So I worked out How to Make a Potty Stool (#2).)
I know, I know, I just made this other potty stool, BUT, to be fair, the kid uses the potty in more than one bathroom in our house.
So, she needed a second one and rather than just making another one, I tried to make it a little simpler.
Kinda fun, huh?
So, check out this super simple potty stool for a kid.
I was super pleased with how steady this one ended-up being–and how fast it came together.
Aaaand, because it’s fun, I made a video for How to Make a Potty Stool (#2). Check it out and be sure to subscribe to my YouTube Channel while you’re there!
See?? What did I tell you?! Simpler. Much simpler.
So, what are you waiting for? Get to making one!
What You Need to Make a Potty Stool (#2)
- 2 – 6×1 pieces of wood 12-inches in length
- 2 – 6×1 pieces of wood 4-inches in length
- Wood Glue (I used Titebond II because it’s water resistant and sets fairly fast)
- Corner Clamps
- Hand Sander
- Sand Paper
- Tung Oil
How to Make a Potty Stool (#2)
- Once your pieces of wood are cut, sand all of the pieces. I used 80-grit sand paper to do this initial rough sanding.
- Glue the two smaller pieces in a butt-joint to one of the longer pieces and clamp them in place.
- Allow that to dry.
- Glue the other long piece to the legs and clamp in place.
- Allow that to dry.
- Sand everything once more to get off any glue squeeze-out.
- Apply the Tung oil and allow that to dry.
- Present to little girl who needs a boost up to the potty!
