My latest favorite flower is the Butterfly Pea. Well, it can give a nice blue color to my Bantha Milk!
If you are not into Starwars or maybe haven’t been too observant when watching the movie, you wouldn’t know what Bantha is. But if you are like me, the name Bantha Milk is just perfect!
Ok! I’ll give you the basics. Banthas appear in several Starwars movies. They are large animals, like a large elephant. But they don’t have tusks or trunks. Instead, they have really huge curly horns that look like a ram’s. And they have long fur, too.
They are trained to ride on to use for traveling and battles. Their hides are used for clothing, shoes, and other leather goods. They get meat from Banthas, too. And the ‘Blue Milk’ served in Starwars are from Banthas.
Yeeees! This is where it gets its name!
Many of us already know about the blue butterfly peas (Clitoria ternatea) and how healthy it is. That’s why it became one of my favorites. Besides the health benefits from these flowers, they gave off this beautiful bright blue color on every beverage that is made with the flowers.
The blue color is also an attraction to your kids and makes them take a very healthy drink. They will be more than happy to drink it as soon as you made it.
So, you now know why this is one healthiest Bantha Milk. Because instead of blue food colorings, I use Butterfly Pea flowers.
Perfect for breakfast, as a snack or to drink before sleeping.
And you know what? They are great with cookies, too! Try this Peanut Butter and Chocolate chips Pinwheel Cookies. My kids love dipping them in their Bantha Milk. You can have this milk with your favorite cookies, too.
