I love a little burger in my summertime. Or, rather, I love a little summertime with my burger. Heh. Burgers are just one of my very favorite dishes. Easy, fast, and so customizable, they’re like the dinner you can make a million times and I will never say “no”. And one of my VERY FAVORITE recipes comes from Martin’s Savory Recipe Center, the Sweet ‘n’ Southern Burger. I usually make it with Mexican Street Corn–because Burgers + Corn = Love. Heh. One of the best parts about this awesome burger recipe is the peachy sweetness. I mean, the burger itself isn’t sweet (because that might be a little off-putting if you’re not ready for it). But the Sweet ‘n’ Southern Burger is topped with this awesome peach salsa…there’s the sweet…mmmm. I think the last time I made them, I may have topped my Mexican street corn with the salsa, too. Just sayin’. The other awesome thing about this recipe is that Martin’s Food Markets has already planned-out what I’m cooking, basically. My family thinks I’ve thought it up on my own, but this quality, adorable, and delicious food–totally not my idea. Having the recipe for the Sweet ‘n’ Southern Burger–and the other recipes make it easy to have fun BBQ-ing and cooking out over the summer. I was really excited to make these burgers with my Mexican Street Corn the other night–because I wasn’t cooking out for anyone but me and the hubby. That meant I could have a second burger. But don’t tell my teen–he’d be jealous. Heh. And the other fabulous thing about this recipe? I totally get an excuse to have peach salsa. Because I love peach salsa. It’s amazing. If you haven’t ever tried it–this is the time, my friends. One taste, on a burger or with a chip–or over Mexican Street Corn (you know, because that’ how I roll sometimes), and you’ll see. LOL! Do, tell me, are you going to try the Sweet ‘n’ Southern Burger with Mexican Street Corn at your next BBQ? You have to let me know how it turns-out. I’m dying to know if you love it as much as I do. I mean, 20-minutes in the oven and BAM! Perfection on a plate, my lovelies, perfection on a plate.
