Slow Cooker Greek Chicken is just some chicken legs, onions, tomatoes, and Greek dressing that roast down to a wonderful worldly taste which is quite different than the normal dinners we eat. We like to pair it with rice and fresh cucumbers. Sometimes we even pick up some pita bread to mesh it all together on top of the bread and eat it in bite size portions.
What I like about this recipe is that it’s truly budget friendly. Ya’ll we are talk an entire dinner for under $12. The chicken legs aren’t expensive about $6 and the dressing is about $2.50 a bottle and then the onion, cucumbers, rice, and tomatoes are about a couple of bucks.
I know tomatoes can get expensive but we use roma tomatoes which are pretty inexpensive and their aren’t many in this recipe. You can always substitute for the tomatoes with some stewed canned tomatoes. I just try to keep my vegetables and fruits fresh.
Try this recipe and I promise your kids will wonder what country they are in. There mouths will explode with a flavor they most likely yet to try. And really how bad can it go with a totally budget friendly dinner that take under ten minutes to prep.
