In this coming season of heart and love, treat your special someone with these colorful Rainbow Heart Hot Cocoa Bombs. They are also great for any kind of celebration, too.

Rainbow Heart Hot Cocoa Bombs

Hot cocoa bombs or hot chocolate bombs! Their popularity is exploding when it comes to this kind of beverage. For one, they are so versatile that they can be created to fit the occasion. Their flavors can be tweaked depending on the ingredients you’d like to put in. And very comforting especially during cold and rainy weather.

But honestly, I’m enjoying hot chocolate whatever the weather is.

Just like this Rainbow Heart Hot Cocoa Bombs. So yummy! As you can see, they are perfect for Valentine’s Day. The rainbow-colored hearts is so comforting and a mood-lifter. Well, that’s how I feel about them. That’s why, these Rainbow Heart Hot Cocoa Bombs can also be for any occasion, as well.

Making the Rainbow Heart Hot Cocoa Bombs

If you made some hot cocoa bombs before, you’ll know it’s not hard. If you are a beginner, nothing to worry about. Just follow the instructions and you’ll have them in no time.

Rainbow Heart Hot Cocoa Bombs

Gather the ingredients first. You can easily find the candy melts and marshmallows in some groceries or supermarkets, and online stores.

You can find the Mixed White Pearl Sprinkles here. The ones with smaller contents are sold fast, so it’s seldom you can find one. But I prefer to buy this much so I can use the rest of them in another batch.

I saw this Rainbow Shaped Confetti here.

As for the hot chocolate mix, use your favorite one.

To create the ‘bombs’, you’ll need several piping bags for the candy melts… Use 4 small and 1 medium. Those are for each color. I used ziplock plastic bags and cut a small hole in one corner. The mold that I used is this Diamond Heart Silicone Mold. They’re great! And of course, you’ll need 5 microwavable bowls for the candy melts.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Red Candy Melts
  • 1/2 cup  Yellow Candy Melts
  • 3/4 cup Bright Green Candy Melts
  • 3/4 cup Royal Blue Candy Melts
  • 2 cups Pink Candy Melts
  • 2 cups Hot Chocolate Mix
  • Mini Rainbow Marshmallows
  • White Pearl Sprinkle Mix (paid link)
  • Rainbow Shaped Confetti

2. On the heart mold, pipe out the red first, carefully shaping a small heart in the middle. Repeat with the rest of the molds. Keep the leftover to be used later.

Instructions

3. Next, get the melted yellow candy melts and carefully pipe out creating a yellow heart shape outlining the red heart. Repeat with the rest of the molds.

4. Then, get the melted bright green candy melts and carefully pipe out creating the heart shape outlining the yellow heart. Repeat with the rest of the molds.

5. Do the same using the royal blue candy melts.

6 . Lastly, get the melted pink candy melts and pipe out to fill the sides of the mold. You may leave the middle part. This will create half of the hot cocoa bomb mold. Repeat with the rest of the molds. Place the molds in the freezer for 5 minutes.

Putting the rainbow heart hot cocoa bombs together:

8. Fill 6 of the candy molds with 1 tbsp hot chocolate mix. Then add several marshmallows into the candy molds.

9. Add in a teaspoon of white pearl sprinkle mix and a couple of rainbow-shaped confetti.

10. Using the melted red candy melts (remember there was some leftover earlier left in the piping bag), carefully pipe out and lay it out at the brim of the filled mold. Get the empty half candy molds, and then place them over the filled candy molds. Slightly press to seal them together. Do the same to the rest to create the cocoa bombs.
