An exciting dessert dip to dig into with chips, cookies, pretzels, or your spoon. Oh boy! This Monster Cookie Dough Dip is so yummy!
Just thinking of smooth and creamy cream cheese mixed with peanut butter is already a knockdown love-affair in my book. Then there’s chocolate chips and M&Ms mixed in. What can you say? I’m a sucker for yummy.
This recipe is a fantastic dessert dip you’re going to want to include on your list of holiday appetizers. I know. Because I so am!
What makes it so good, though? Well,
I really like this Monster Cookie Dough Dip because it’s so colorful (you know me with my love of all things rainbow). Plus, I love anything with peanut butter and cream cheese, because they’re both delicious together or apart.
After blending all the ingredients together I just had to taste it…taste it again just to be sure…and again just one last time before sharing with the kids…who were, frankly, lucky to get any. LOL!
Then, for the final verdict–What did the kids think?!
We had a batch of Unicorn Pretzels I made leftover from a movie night the other night, so I served that, nilla wafer cookies, plain pretzels, Bugles and some of those waffle cookies. They look perfect together like a fancy charcuterie dessert tray.
To say the kids loved it was an understatement!
The Monster Cookie Dough Dip Recipe
This dessert dip made it to my favorites’ list because it has most of what I like in a recipe… Simple and easy to make, ingredients are easy to find, colorful which most kids enjoy, and so flavorful.
What do you think? Ready to dig in?!
Below is how you make this enticing recipe. But, before you get mixing, you’d better Pin this, too, to your favorite easy snacks board so it’s super easy to find when you need the best dip ever on your table.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cream cheese (8oz package)
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups powdered icing sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 – 1 teaspoon salt, to taste
- 1 cup M&Ms
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Here are a couple of options to add texture to the Monster Cookie Dough Dip:
Option 1: 1/2 cup flour, for texture, if desired. Flour MUST be cooked in the microwave for 2 minutes or cooked in the oven at 350F for 10 minutes, stirring once, to kill any bacteria. I recommend leaving it out.
Option 2: 1/2 – 1 cup toasted rolled oats. Toast the oats in a pre-heated skillet on medium heat. Stir occasionally until the oats became golden in about 5 minutes. This is honestly my preferred method, though it’s not as smooth.
Directions:
Place cream cheese, peanut butter, and butter in a large bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until completely combined, about 2 minutes.
Next, add in the powdered sugar and brown sugar. Beat 1 minute.
Then add the flour or oats, if using. Ensure the flour is cooked through to prevent food poisoning. Mix completely.
Add in the vanilla extract and salt. Then mix. Finally, add M&Ms and chocolate chips and mix thoroughly.
Serve or refrigerate until ready to serve.
