Wow the holidays are almost here and that means it is time for SCHOOL PARTIES. I may be a nerdy mamma, but I still want to send fun holiday treats to school for my kids. The problem is that most schools have guidelines in place now that really restrict how much junk food we can send for parties, LOL. Not everyone can make adorable cupcakes these days. Someone has to step up and be willing to send a healthy option. So I found some healthier holiday treats for school parties that will still make the kids smile.
Healthier Holiday Treats for School Parties
An Edible Holiday Wreath is a great way to celebrate! Most kids love oranges and it looks adorable on a platter!
A Christmas Tree Veggie Tray is always a hit at parties. What better way to get kids excited about veggies then to make the veggies into a Christmas tree?
A Christmas Tree Made of Fruit is another healthy idea for a class party. This tree looks delicious with all that sweet kiwi!!
Strawberry Santas will be a big hit I know. I have rarely met a child who doesn’t gobble strawberries up!!
How about making Banana Snowmen Snacks for the class? This would also be a fun project to do during the party!
Make the adorable Santa Pants Snack Cups and fill them with popcorn! What a cute way to serve a simple, healthy snack.
Graham Cracker Reindeer Snacks are simple to make and a much healthier alternative to cookies.
Grinch Party Poppers are going to be a big hit I know. Kids love the Grinch and these are just plain cute!
Serving Apple Cookies is an idea that I believe would go great. You can top these with so many healthy items that kids like. Just remember to be aware of any nut allergies in the class and have a backup plan instead of peanut butter.
Reindeer Sandwiches are also a great option for a class party. These wouldn’t take long to make either.
I think healthier holiday treats for school parties can still be fun and delicious. It is all about balance and these treats do the trick perfectly.
