The great thing about soup is you can make it as smooth or as chunky as you want to, even better if you have a soup maker to do this for you. Some people prefer to make it from scratch in a pan and then blend it themselves.
If this is you, then make sure you have a pan big enough for all the ingredients and liquid stock you need.
Veggie Noodles
If you are a vegetarian family then you may feel limited on what you can make and serve. The good news is, that you have so many options for filling meals that will satisfy the family. You can take normal meals and cut out the meat part.
For instance, if you like stir fry but don’t want the chicken or the steak then you could just have veggie noodles. This meal doesn’t take long so you can cook it when you get home in the evenings.
Tacos
Do you love tacos? You may think these are overly complicated to make at home but they are actually quite simple. You can use mince or chicken for your tacos, so this gives you the option of two meals a week.
If you don’t have time to stand in front of your hob in the evenings cooking your tacos then you could do these in a slow cooker. Leave them cooking on low and they will be beautiful and tender when you serve them.
You have the choice to use soft or hard shells and if you want these to be healthier then how about lettuce boats.
Steak Fajitas
Finally, if you are a steak-loving family but are tired of the usual steak dishes, then how about broadening your horizons? You may already have chicken fajitas, but did you know you can also use steak in your fajita dishes?
Steak fajitas could make a nice change in the weekly menu schedule and you don’t need that many ingredients to make it a success. All you need is wraps, peppers, onions, and of course, the steak. Throw it all together in one pan to save on the washing up.
