Easy Coke Candy Recipe

Thank you for sharing!

This recipe for making candy out of coke is so ridiculously easy. And yummy. Unbelievable!

So, I got in a funky pickle the other day. I wanted some candy that was flavored like Coca Cola for some awesome stained glass cookies. But, for whatever reason, there wasn’t any laying around at my house, there wasn’t any at the store–and I was not entirely certain what to do. But then inspiration struck. I’d seen a video a couple years back of some guy making lollipops out of different sodas (sorry, I can’t find the video, or I’d share it), and although I didn’t remember exactly what to do or if he’d done it with Coke, I wanted to try. So, I broke-out a Coke, a 2-liter actually, and this amazingness happened–right in my kitchen. Because it was so awesome, I decided I’d share this Easy Coke Candy Recipe and see if you have any good ideas for using the rest of my Coca Cola Candy.

Ingredients for Coke Candy

  • A 2-liter bottle of coke (yeah, that’s right, just one ingredient–cool huh?)

How to Make Coke Candy

  1. Place contents of 2-liter bottle of Coke in a soup pot or dutch oven over medium-high heat. Do not cover.
  2. Allow contents to boil for approximately 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  3. Get a little frustrated and turn the heat up, then feel bad and turn it back down.
  4. Continue to boil for another hour–or however long it takes for the coke to boil-down and thicken to the consistency of like corn syrup or thick maple syrup.
  5. Once the steam stops and the Coke thickens, you’ll need to move fast so you don’t scorch it. Immediately pour the coke syrup into a baking sheet.
  6. Allow the candy to cool for at least 10 minutes.
  7. Break it up using an ice pick or a fork or the butt-end of a knife. Whatever, just break it up. LOL!
