First, let me apologize for being, well, me.
Yes, I played with my kids with dolls.
But they were HARRY POTTER™ and PROFESSOR DUMBLEDORE™.
I’m just excited to be sharing my love of the Wizarding World with my daughters–and the best part is that they had a blast.
See, I’ve been reading the first book to them for a while now. Just little bits at a time, here and there, in the evenings before bed, or when we were waiting in the doctor’s office–that kind of thing.
But, I needed more than that to really bring the story to life.
Upon opening our Dumbledore and Harry dolls, my girls were alllllll over setting them up (“mamma they stand-up!”) and recreating the stories (in their own words).
And who was I to deny them pretending to be in a classroom at HOGWARTS™ (although I’m pretty sure my youngest is calling it Hotwars–not sure what she thinks it is…)
How could you blame me for narrating the story like a good director?!
What kind of nerd could I call myself if I didn’t flesh-out their story that went with these awesome Dumbledore and Harry dolls?!
No kind of nerd I’d want to be, that’s for sure.
And if you want to be this kind of nerd too you can get these dolls at Walmart, which makes it so easy to bring the world of Harry Potter to life.
The magical world of wizarding wonders is so full of opportunities for imaginative play–it helps them develop those problem solving skills and keeps them from being constrained to the “norm.”
Which is a valuable part of learning to love yourself the way you are.
Which I cherish, obviously.
And having these awesome dolls (which we found at Walmart, so EASY) means that they can put faces on the names in the books–and then make the connection to the stories in the movies.
It’s like giving them a chance to bring it all together and connect all the pieces into a larger puzzle.
Which is brilliant!
Seriously, guys, these Harry Potter and Professor Dumbledore
dolls have been a huge hit for my girls.
I really feel like these are the best toys to introduce Harry Potter to your kids.
And even if you have, it brings the wizarding world right there to them, allowing them to become more involved.
WHICH WHO DOESN’T WANT THAT?!
Not me.
Involve me all the way.
