(Inside: I’m in a stage of loving Harry Potter so much that I can’t get enough. I made these Harry Potter Golden Snitch Ornaments to put on the Christmas tree, but I’m already planning to hang them all year round on a house plant. #notashamed)
Have you ever loved Harry Potter so much that you wanted to make the coolest ornament for your tree?
And then you thought maybe you wanted to hang that ornament on a houseplant even when it’s not Christmas?
Yeah, that’s me. And I’m not ashamed to admit it.
No matter which house you are sorted into this Harry Potter Snitch Ornament needs to adorn your tree–and your houseplant.
This is one craft that can be fun with kids but DEFINITELY with supervision.
Little ones might tend to put these tacks in their mouths–or poke each other.
I don’t want this for anyone.
It’s totally clear that anyone could see how dangerous this could be if you left little kids unsupervised while doing this craft.
So please be sure to supervise the little ones when making these adorable golden snitch ornaments.
Now, if you’re digging this quick tutorial for these DIY Harry Potter Snitch Ornaments, then you totally need to pin this, then catch the video…because it’s super easy.
AND, if you don’t have gold tacks laying around, you can find the whole list below of the items you’ll need to make your own ornaments.
What You Need to Make the Harry Potter Golden Snitch Ornament
- 1 box of gold tacks
- 1 Styrofoam ball, about the size of a small plum
- 2 white feathers
- 1 small piece of ribbon, tied
How to Make the Harry Potter Golden Snitch Ornament
- Place tacks into the Styrofoam ball as close as possible.
- Place tacks all over ball until you can no longer see the foam.
- Poke white feathers into each side of the snitch. Place tack with ribbon at the top for hanging.
