3-Ingredient Easy Cheesy Goulash [goo-lahsh]
When I was a teenager, my mom used to make this dish, and I’ve taught my own daughter to make 3-Ingredient Easy Cheesy Goulash, so I guess it’s kind of a family tradition. Not only is this dish easy to prepare, the clean-up is a breeze, because you can cook it in a single pan. Whether you want to feed a small or large group, this is an easy dish to put together. But large or small, you’d better make plenty 3-Ingredient Easy Cheesy Goulash, because this meal disappears fast at our house!
3-Ingredient Easy Cheesy Goulash Ingredients
- Ground beef, one or two pounds (if you’re cooking for 2, use one pound of beef)
- Mixed vegetables, 15 ounce can
- Velveeta (cubed) or cheddar (shredded), 8 ounce
Putting together 3-Ingredient Goulash
You can make this dish in a single pan, if you use either a deep frying pan or a dutch oven. Start by browning and draining the ground beef, then put the beef back in the same pan you cooked it in. Pour the water off the mixed vegetables, but don’t try to get all the water off them–you want just a little water to conduct heat to the veggies. Simmer just long enough to get the veggies hot. Remove from heat, add the Velveeta or cheddar, cover and let stand until the cheese is melted. This is a meal in itself, and great served with macaroni noodles, rice, or crackers.
