You know who you are. You are the parent of that kid that has either always struggled to read, or they loved it at first, but then hit a wall. Yeah. I know you. You’re my mom (not for me, buy my brother). You’re my mother-in-law. My best friend. The lady I used to work with. And you’re me. Yeah. Me. My son, who just turned 14 this summer–he has plateaued. The biggest reader I ever knew–roll through a book in half the time of a “regular” reader…and now he barely cracks a book unless he’s made to. But I have an ace up my sleeve. Actually, I have 38 aces. Because I have 38 YA Graphic Novels for Reluctant Readers {Both Boys & Girls Will Love}. No jokes, this kid is going read again–like crazy.
