When things get tough, I like to spend a few minutes on myself. And this Easy DIY Cinnamon Coffee Body Scrub is my latest self-care tool of choice.
And the cool thing is, I can make this Easy DIY Cinnamon Coffee Body Scrub in just about a minute, then I have it in the fridge for up to a week to use–and boy if that’s not nice to come home to after a rough day!
Because this is based on used coffee grounds, I typically make it while the grounds have been freshly made into a cup of joe.
Then, that kind of melts the coconut oil a little–even if it’s hard.
But, that makes this Easy DIY Cinnamon Coffee Body Scrub a little warm for using right away, which may not be your style (it’s not mine).
If that’s the case, just pop it in the fridge for 20 minutes and it should be all sorts of cold again.
Making this Easy DIY Cinnamon Coffee Body Scrub with warm coffee, though, makes for an amazing smell. And then, the smell is totally captured in the jar…
So when you pull it out later in the day when the kids have gone to bed and it’s time for a little personal time…oh, that smell is nice.
So, if you’re all about this incredibly Easy DIY Cinnamon Coffee Body Scrub and you absolutely want to make it, but you’re not ready with the whole warm coffee grounds yet, no worries.

Easy DIY Cinnamon Coffee Body Scrub
When things get tough, I like to spend a few minutes on myself. And this Easy DIY Cinnamon Coffee Body Scrub is my latest self-care tool of choice.
Ingredients
- ¾ cup used coffee grounds, cooled/room temperature
- ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1.5 tablespoons coconut oil, measured solid
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the cinnamon and coffee.
- Add in the coconut oil and mix until combined. If the coffee grinds are too cold the coconut oil will stay hard so make sure you use room temperature ones!
- Use immediately or store in an airtight jar. Storing in the fridge will prolong the shelf life of the scrub but will cause the coconut oil to harden slightly so let it sit out before using.
- Makes just under one cup.
