Simple Seafood Ramen Soup

I went to a new restaurant in town and was reminded how much I love soup. So I made this  Simple Seafood Ramen Soup that's to DIE for.


  • 6 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 tbspn fish sauce
  • 1 tbspn soy sauce
  • 1 tbspn butter or vegetable oil
  • 1 tbspn minced garlic
  • 1 chopped green onion
  • 1/2 tspn fresh grated ginger
  • 4 strips nori (seaweed wrap for sushi)
  • 1/4 tspn spicy chili sauce or sriracha sauce
  • 1 12 oz pkg udon or ramen noodles
  • 1-4 cup cubed crab meat
  • 4-10 whole prawn
  • 1 cup cubed tofu optional
  • 1 cup sliced oyster mushrooms optional
  • 4 slices ham or turkey optional
  • 2 soft boiled eggs optional
  • 1 cup bean sprouts optional
  • 1 tbspn sesame seeds optional
  • 1 sliced jalapeno optional
  • 1 cup snow pea pods optional


  1. Sauté butter, green onion, garlic, and ginger in the bottom of your dutch oven until the green onion starts to soften. Should just be 2-3 minutes following the butter melting completely.

  2. Add broth, fish sauce, soy sauce and chili sauce to onion mixture. 

  3. Stir until mixed completely.

  4. Add noodles and simmer until the noodles have cooked completely (should be less than 5 minutes once the pot is boiling.

  5. Add prawn and allow soup to boil until the prawn are completely pink (meaning cooked), which should be 3-5 minutes.

  6. Turn the pot off and add all of the other ingredients desired. 

  7. Slice soft boiled eggs in half and place half in each bowl of soup.

  8. Serve!
