Unicorn Blood (Kid-Friendly Mocktail)

Thank you for sharing!

(Inside: Let me introduce you to the ridiculousness that is my life. I make kid-friendly mocktails for tiny people that sneeze on me. Regularly. Yep. I love ’em and this drink? Made them squeal–not sure why, but oh well!)

You know how Voldemort was gettin’ him a big-ole sip of unicorn blood and it was not only creepy AF, but it was straight-up a really, really horrible thing to do?!

Yeah, we’re not doing that.

No unicorns were harmed in the making of this kid-friendly mocktail.

Everyone can stop crying now.

This is an “okay to drink” Unicorn Blood–like vegan unicorn blood, if there was such a thing (but we all know vegan is make-believe).

Besides being somehow magical, because it’s, you know, vegan, it’s also stupid-simple and so very tasty I think I’ll hook myself up with another.

All those mesmerizing gold candy flakes and not quite blood red–just a bit more pink than red?  Mmmmm….

Unicorn Blood

So, now that I’ve drooled over the Unicorn Blood, here’s what you tell the kids: you saw a unicorn wandering in the forest (near by field, land, whatever–just make it up, for goodness sake! it could have been trotting down the sidewalk!).

Then you say that Voldemort took over your mind in the briefest of moments and before you knew it you had a whole gallon jug full of unicorn blood…and now  you need help drinking this magical elixer before it expires at midnight.

And then you can rub your hands together like some cheesy cartoon evil-doer.

Why didn’t Voldemort ever do that? He did all the other classic evil-doer things…but no rubbing of hands together. What a jerk–he totally doesn’t get my vote now as evilest evil-doer. Sigh.

I can’t wait until this afternoon when I’ve got a group of kiddos coming over for a little playdate. We’re about to have sooooo much fun…LOL!

You’re headed in the same direction (you ole Voldemort-lover, you)? Pin it and you can save this quick and dirty recipe so you can make it soon…
