That time where we all BBQ, stand outside in the yard, and enjoy Simple Firecracker Jello Cups while we watch the sky explode.
Seriously, when else can I get a hot dog, a popsicle, maybe a burger and a show in my own back yard? Never–but on July 4th…that party is on!

This year, I’m super stoked and I’ve already started trying out recipes (that’s kind of what I do–I don’t want to screw them up on the day of…)
And, I’m feeling a bit stoked because I finally figured out how to make multi-layered jello.
Yeah, that’s right, this is the first time I’ve made anything like this and I’m a little proud, if I do say so myself.
These Simple Firecracker Jello Cups are so simple, I kind of feel like a dolt that I didn’t figure it out before.
But I guess it just hadn’t occurred to me how to do the whole layering thing…figured it out now, though! LOL!

Firecracker Jello Cups
This super easy recipe for Simple Firecracker Jello Cups has really gotten me excited about the 4th of July! I mean, I'm always excited--but this year, there will be fireworks in my mouth!
Ingredients
- 1 box of Blue Jello
- 1 box of Red Jello
- 1 bag of Twizzlers
- Clear Plastic Cups
- Whip Cream
Instructions
- Start by preparing red jello according to box instructions.
- Fill plastic cup with prepared jello just below half way.
- Place in fridge for 1 to 2 hours and allow jello to set.
- Prepare blue jello according to box instructions.
- Add blue jello to the top of the red jello, just below the top of the cup.
- Place cup back into the fridge and allow blue jello to set.
- Cut Twizzler in half and place down the center of the cup.
- Top cup with whip cream.
- Serve and enjoy!
