Yes! You’re pregnant! Congratulations my friend! Now, you get to set up the baby’s nursery. Planning and dreaming of the future is what you will be doing for the next few months. You have plenty of time to find the perfect accessories for the baby’s room. You have to find everything you like and it seems to usually involve whether you are having a boy or a girl. OR just go with a theme that can be neutral for both,.It will make it less stressful for you and can even make it more fun. PLUS, gender neutral items can be handed down to future siblings or cousins. Win win. There really isn’t all that much to a nursery, and Imma break it down for you here. Just the important things…no fluff!

How to Set Up the Perfect Nursery

Crib

A nursery wouldn’t be a nursery if it didn’t have a crib. It is, of course, the most important part. But personally, I think it’s crazy to spend all that money on a crib that your child is only going to use for a few years of their life until they grow out of it. Instead buy one that will grow with your kid, like this 3-in-1 Crib that goes from crib to toddler bed and then to a big kid bed. Not only that but it’s a neutral color so this way you don’t have to match any certain theme and if you do have a theme it will match no matter what.

Dresser

Of course, you are going to need a dresser for their clothes but why not get one that is multi-functional and can also hold your little one’s toys. Like this White 3-Drawer Dresser, it’s a neutral color so it will go with any theme (if you have one–which I did not) and it comes in other colors, which is nice. But it’s also great because of the two side cubbies that can be used to hold toys, extra supplies, clothes or whatever you choose. It will totally save space and is fairly small, so it’l be easy to move if you ever want to re-arrange (which will be like every day until baby comes).

Bookcase

Now this isn’t required, but it is a nice thing to have for all your little one’s books and it adds to the nursery making it look especially nice. This bookcase is very decorative and artsy, it is a nice touch to any nursery. Like everything else it is neutral and will fit in great with any nursery but has a whimsical kid’s touch, so check out this amazing 3D Alphabet Bookcase for yourself!

Changing Table

It is a no brainier that every nursery needs a changing table or it really wouldn’t be a nursery. Don’t just settle for a plain table though. This multi-purpose Changing Table, that doubles as a dresser, gives you a lot more space and a great way to store your child’s changing supplies so they will be right there when you need them.
