Cleaning is so important–I mean, our homes are absolutely a reflection of who we are–and how we feel about ourselves. We live, eat, sleep, play and entertain in these homes–and we should take care of them, show ’em some lovin’. So, now, I don’t look at cleaning as a drag, but I HAVE made changes to how I clean so that it’s not. This is How I Make Cleaning Faster and More Fun. And maybe a little sillier, too. Heh.
Sometimes, when I’m cleaning my house, I remember back to what it was like when I was a kid. It seemed to take FOREVER and was the biggest drag. Of course, I was like 10 and trying to move a 400-lbs vacuum across a sea of shag carpeting–when I could have been outside playing tag with my friends. But, I seriously imprinted on that, and hate for cleaning to take forever. So, for me, it’s all about being efficient and getting it done quick–and not wasting a second.
What I Use Make Cleaning Faster and More Fun
- Cart-o-Cleaning
- Tiny broom and Dustpan
- Pledge® Multi Surface Everyday Cleaner with Glade® Rainshower®
- Pledge® Lemon Clean
- Pledge® Extra Moisturizing Cleaner
- Rags
- Replacement Mop Heads
- Trash Can
- Duster (the big fluffy kind)
I picked-up all my Pledge® products (and pretty much everything else) at Kroger, while I was grocery shopping. Honestly, being able to get it all in one place, while I’m doing my regular run, makes my life so much easier right there. Heh.
This is just me, but I like to use Pledge® products to dust not only my wood furniture, but a lot of other stuff, too, because it just smells good. Not only does Pledge® Lemon Clean Furniture Spray have a fresh lemon scent, but it also features Allergens Trappers® to remove dust AND up to 90% of the allergens in that dust. So, for that purpose alone, I like to use it as a pre-treatment for my duster. That means I spray my big, fluffy duster with the Pledge® Lemon Clean Furniture Spray, but pre-treatment sounds so much more fun. Heh. And my other favorite tool? Well, Pledge® Multi Surface Everyday Cleaner with Glade® Rainshower® is an awesome go-to, all-purpose cleaner that contains a worry-free formula I’ve found works wonders on smudges and messes while leaving the finish alone (so I can use it on pretty much anything). And any time something works well makes it more fun–because I don’t have to go back and repeat work over and over again.
How I Make Cleaning Faster and More Fun
Ok, these instructions are super-difficult, so stay with me. You’re going to fill that cart up with those cleaning materials and wag it around with you. Yup. That’s it. It makes cleaning faster because EVERYTHING you need is right there. You don’t have to hunt down another rag–there’s like 10 there. You don’t have to run to the trash can to throw away what you just swept-up–there’s a trash can right there. This level of convenience really impacts how long it takes me to clean. And makes it a lot more fun. Check it out–the cart doesn’t just help keep all your stuff together–it actually cleans for you. Heh.
(just kidding–don’t expect the cart to clean for you–it won’t–it’s lazy).
