Yes, I may have lost my mind.

Yes, that is disconcerting to those around me sometimes, in the most loving of ways, I’m sure.

But dudes, when Halloween-times (like most of October and a good part of September, honestly) roll out, I’m really ready to shed the summer and get my spook on.

Halloween is literally the best holiday ever.

There’s no pressure to get the perfect gift for anyone.

The only thing I have to worry about is having fun.

And that, my friends, is the inspiration for this amazing Bat Poop Soap (DIY Holographic Glitter Bat Poop Soap Recipe).

Having fun and Halloween-times.

Let’s do this.

Now, let’s be honest with each other…this is not your normal soap recipe.

You’re not making Bat Poop Soap (DIY Holographic Glitter Bat Poop Soap Recipe) and putting it in the guest bath for the next couple of months, thinking that your play-date-parent-friends might get a little chuckle out of it.

Nope.

This is pure, simple, unadulterated ME Soap.

Mine.

Making it for me and all others shall keep their hands off.

Sure, you can make bat poop soap as a gift. But even then, don’t expect your gift-recipient to share.

It’s too cool to let someone else in on it.

Now, get your pin on so that you have this recipe for next Halloween-times (and the next and the next, because we all know you’re going to want it EVERY YEAR).

Now. Do it.

Pin. This. Now.

Dudes. Let's really enjoy Halloween this year. Like really really. With a black, bada** cherry on top. Dudes. Let's immerse ourselves. Literally and figuratively. Let's make some Bat Poop Soap and get our bathtime on with this DIY Holographic Glitter Bat Poop Soap Recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2- pounds clear melt and pour soap cut into cubes
  • 1 tablespoon jojoba oil
  • 10-20 drops of cedarwood essential oil
  • Black holographic cosmetic glitter
  • Activated charcoal powder
  • Poop soap mold
  • Spray bottle of rubbing alcohol
  • Medium sized microwave safe bowl or measuring cup

Instructions

  1. Add cubes (each cube is approx. 1 ounce) of the soap base to a microwave safe bowl or measuring cup.
  2. Melt in 30 second intervals, stirring after each until it is completely melted.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon of jojoba oil.
  4. Add cedarwood essential oil to bowl, or whatever oil you want.
  5. CAREFULLY add activated charcoal to bowl (the powder can float up into the air and can make a bit of a mess if you mix too vigorously!) and mix thoroughly into soap mixture.
  6. Add glitter (reserve a bit for step 9) and mix in.
  7. Spray bottom of mold with rubbing alcohol. Sprinkle a bit of the glitter into the mold and allow alcohol to dry a few seconds.
  8. Carefully pour soap mixture into mold.
  9. Spray top of soap with rubbing alcohol to prevent bubbles from forming.
  10. Allow to harden at least 2-4 hours. Make sure there are no ripples when you blow on it.
  11. Carefully “pop” the soaps from the mold. Store in an airtight container until ready to use.
