Flamingo Paper Plate Craft

Thank you for sharing!

Summer’s not over yet and you have to check out this adorable Flamingo Paper Plate Craft. Remind me of Aruba and the flamingo beach they have there. I’d like to visit one day. They say the Flamingos walk right up to you. Could you imagine that? Those pretty pink feathered friends. I think that would be rad as long as they didn’t bite.

Did you know that flamingos are only pink because of what they eat. Actually, flamingos are not born pink in color. They are born with grey feathers. These feathers gradually turn pink in the wild because of a natural pink dye called canthaxanthin that they obtain from their diet of brine shrimp and blue-green algae. How cool is that?

Wouldn’t it be so cool if they made a marker that went from gray to pink so you can have the color changing effect just like flamingos do in this Flamingo Paper Plate Craft.

To show you how we did it. There is a video below on the Flamingo Paper Plate Craft. The same glue is not needed and you are welcome to use whatever glue you think will work. Glue that will also be suitable for your child’s age group. Adding glitter for more fun is possible just don’t get it in your eyes! Now how many pink flamingos are you going to make? I know we made more than two! To adorable and fun in summer!
